01/26/10 EqSim Begins Responder Training with Philadelphia Fire Department
 

The Philadelphia Fire Department, in cooperation with Equipment Simulations LLC, is participating in a research grant from the National Institute of Environmental Sciences (NIEHS) to train/evaluate first responder compliance with Operating Procedures (OP's), particularly involving Command during HazMat and Anti-Terrorism incidents, as well as with standards such as NFPA 1026, 1500, 1521, and 1561, among others.

From February through May, the Department will conduct a series of two-day sessions in which company officers and battalion chiefs take command on a range of scenarios. The scenarios have been designed to cover virtually all of Philadelphia's HazMat OP's, as well as Incident Command and Safety Officer roles.

A limited number of slots are available for those interested in observing the exercises. Please contact us to find the best dates for you.

Adobe and the voting public has awarded Equipment Simulations LLC's CommandSim the prestigious MAX 2009 Award in the Public Sector category. Finalists were selected based on impact on constituents' lives and use of Adobe products. CommandSim team members Jonathan Kaye and Troy Gardner were on hand to accept the award on behalf of the company, its customers, and simulation viewers.   B-to-B Online, the magazine for marketing strategists, posted an article today by Karen Bannan about how Malvern Instruments, a global provider of analytical technical instruments for pharma and biotech companies, is using 3-D online demos to "[bring] the product to life" which was documented to give customers "the confidence to place the order," and "save millions of dollars not having to create demo units."
   
04/27/09 Equipment Simulations LLC Working with Pierce Manufacturing
  Pierce Manufacturing, the largest manufacturer of fire trucks and public safety vehicles in the world, chose Equipment Simulations LLC to produce a new interactive piece that lets customers, dealers, and prospects walk through their new apparatus, the Pierce Responder. This piece also features Equipment Simulations' SimTracker software, allowing Pierce to tune the performance of the presentation based on behavioral metrics.
   
04/23/09 Jonathan Kaye Speaks to Fire Service Manufacturers at FDIC 2009
  Jonathan Kaye, President of Equipment Simulations LLC, was invited by Fire Engineering to present a talk on creating effective product simulations and their marketing/training applications, to a group of 70 Fire Service manufacturers at the recent FDIC 2009 show in Indianapolis. FDIC is the largest Fire Service trade show in the world, attracting over 27,000 attendees in 2009.
